STEM4All promotes events planned by STEMinists that aim to exchange knowledge, raise awareness, and break gender stereotypes in STEM in the Europe and Central Asia region. Find and attend events both independently organized or organized by UNDP and UNICEF.
The event will convene Action Coalition #5 commitment makers from governments, private sector, civil society, women, and girl leaders in a dynamic dialogue on the progress and implementation of the regional commitments to advance gender equality in STEM. This is a crucial moment as we reach the first cycle of reporting and one year since the Generation Equality Forum in Paris. The event will showcase how the commitments are translated into tangible action and discuss gaps that remain to be addressed. This is an interagency regional event organized by ITU, UNICEF, and UN Women in partnership with Regional Issue-Based Coalition on Gender Equality (IBC-GE). The event will serve as the first in a series of key convenings to foster new strategic alliances and partnerships advancing women and girls in technology and innovation.

The participants will learn from real cases that digital technology may help to reveal, prevent and respond to gender-based violence (GBV), and increase their own awareness of new threats and forms of violence brought by ICT. Marathon of ideas Spotlight Digital Challenge will be held online . Each team will have 48 hours to come up with technology ideas (such as mobile apps and web services) to address gender-based violence against women and girls.
