Today we speak to three women with disabilities currently learning and working in technology in Uzbekistan: Firuza Rasmukhammedova, a 25-year-old and member of the UN Youth Advisory Board in Uzbekistan and UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia; Nigina Kamilova, a 26 years old skilled in graphic design, website development and also in artificial intelligence; and Sevinch Karimova a 17 years old student in IT well-versed in website development and graphic design. We will discuss their unique journeys until now, how to overcome gender inequalities and disabilities to get into this field and what motivates them to continue their careers in STEM and ICT.
During the episode Ezoza Akhmedova will serve as sign language interpreter and speak on behalf of Nigina and Sevinch.
