16 September 2021

The conference will present research and case studies unpacking the root causes underlying the low participation of girls and women in STEM industries and academia. As part of UNDP’s goal to promote STEM4ALL, it will showcase best practices and offer policy recommendations to accelerate gender equality in STEM from various perspectives (global, regional, country, and grassroots). The conference is an open call for more countries to join the action-based learning network and storytelling campaign of gender champions in STEM. We are honored to host Ms. Asel Kenenbaeva, Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, Assistant UN Secretary-General and Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and Central Asia, and other guest speakers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
